Happy New Year!

The Holidays in McAllen, Texas

Hey y’all! I hope you spent the holidays celebrating and holding those you love nice and close.

If you had the pleasure of time off, I hope you feel renewed as you take on 2019. #LetsDoThis right?!

Here at Casa Hess, we had a pretty chill Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We read some books, listened to Christmas music for hours and ate some delicious Christmas cookies.

The kids woke up on Christmas morning and ripped open their gifts and then we spent most of the day playing and having a pretty lazy day.

This took a turn once my family rolled into town. I loooooooove being part of a big family. Seriously. It’s the best. My sister flew in from D.C. and my brothers drove in from several parts of North Texas. The house was full, our kids were running around making all kinds of joyful noises and sometimes even the adults joined in for those energetic kid games like tag & freeze tag.

We had an incredible time and although I’m sure we were all exhausted at the end, I wish we could do it all over again. Alas, that will have to wait until our next get together.

For now, I thought I’d share a little glimpse of our life. It isn’t perfect but it’s us. Unapologetically wild and beautiful in its own way.

Can South Texas Weather be any better?! What a fun day!

My incredible siblings and mother.

Thank you for visiting the blog today!

If you would like help documenting your family just as it is. Let’s get in touch! These documentary sessions are a blast to look back on.
